Context
Nimbus Freight managed 400+ trucks across India using spreadsheets and WhatsApp. Dispatchers had no visibility into real-time positions, ETAs were guesses, and fuel costs were rising 15% year-over-year without explanation.
Constraint
GPS hardware was already installed on trucks but sending data over unreliable 2G networks. The platform needed to gracefully handle data gaps and work on dispatchers' low-end Android tablets.
What We Built
A real-time fleet dashboard with Mapbox integration, route optimization engine, automated delay alerts, fuel analytics, and a driver mobile app. We built a data pipeline that buffered GPS events and reconciled gaps using dead-reckoning algorithms.
